What the job involves
- Join our team as a Senior Product Marketing Manager and play a key role in driving the go-to-market strategy for our innovative technology and insurance products.
- This role will collaborate closely with our partnerships, and product teams to increase awareness of our technology platforms and capabilities
- The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for understanding and communicating technical product information, assisting in the development of unique selling propositions with our communications team, supporting internal team training on messaging, and contributing to product-level content marketing and communications activities that align with company strategy
- Your interest in the technology industry, awareness of market trends, and solid writing skills will enable you to create engaging and informative communications that support our partnership initiatives
- Own product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for technology and insurance offerings to maximize adoption
- Provide product training and enablement to global partnerships teams, including messaging, positioning, and win/loss insights
- Collaborate with marketing to develop key partner-facing materials such as sales decks, flyers, demos, case studies, and consumer surveys
- Create compelling product messaging and content
- Conduct and communicate regular competitive analysis to inform product strategy
- Act as a bridge between marketing and technology, translating product features and USPs into impactful marketing communications for various channels
- Manage product launches and related communications, working with marketing to execute multi-channel promotions
- Develop and maintain product positioning and messaging, ensuring alignment with vertical USPs
- Create a range of product content, including videos, case studies, long-form articles, and white papers
Our take
Insurance plans and warranties are staples of a successful digital company, but setting them up is challenging. Businesses must compare and write contracts with insurance providers which require the expensive assistance of legal and financial teams, Add to this the cost of web designers who can embed the service online, and insurance and warranties quickly become unaffordable to smaller businesses.
Cover Genius provides end-to-end APIs called XCover and XClaim for embedding insurance and warranty plans onto online stores, preventing the business from having to compare, arrange and deploy insurance plans themselves. The company's policies are for any business, can be translated into over 40 languages, and are designed to be read easily without unnecessary jargon.
Whilst other insurtech companies offer similar services to Cover Genius, the company has uniquely focused on ensuring its plans are easily readable, translatable, and dynamically priced based on personal requirements. Although the company initially aimed to facilitate insurance and warranty plans for smaller businesses, it also partners with large enterprises such as Ryanair, Amazon, and eBay. In 2024 it secured impressive Series E funding off the back of a year where it achieved 107% year-on-year growth.
