What the job involves
- Our North America organization is seeking to build a diverse strategic and consultative workforce of world-class leaders, problem-solvers, and technologists
- The Senior Vice President of Sales, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions will report to the Head of Cyber and Intelligence Solutions in North America and will be responsible to lead sales strategy and execution for Cyber and Intelligence (C&I) solutions within the North America (NAM) market
- In addition, the SVP will need to establish strong working relationships with the C&I acquisition sales teams and drive an integrated sales effort in NAM to meet revenue targets in 2024 and the future
- The role will partner closely with Mastercard account teams and product teams to define the sales strategies for C&I products across our diverse business segments
- Drive and evolve the NAM C&I Sales strategy:
- Develop holistic C&I sales strategy with global C&I teams and Account Management teams to drive scale and value for our customers
- Lead integrated account planning process for C&I in US and Canada working closely with the NAM Account leads and executives
- Develop new ways to go to market with other Mastercard product groups (New Payment Flows, Data and Services (D&S), Digital, Open Banking)
- Identify target markets, new customer segments and analyze market trends, competitive landscape and customer needs to drive sales growth and evolve sales strategy for the future
- Lead and grow a high performing NAM C&I Sales team:
- Responsible to lead a team of NAM C&I sales leaders (VP’s of sales) and their individual NAM segment-based sales teams
- Recruit, onboard, train and mentor the team of sales professionals as the teams grows
- Set sales targets and provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to team members
- Establish and continuously monitor robust sales discipline practices and KPI’s right from lead generation to deal prospecting and deal closure – be able to report on how the sales team is tracking to its goals
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the sales organization
- Drive sales revenue growth and achieve the sales targets for NAM C&I:
- Directly responsible for sales revenue for C&I solutions in the US and Canada markets
- Drive sales planning and target setting in collaboration with global C&I and NAM Account teams
- Responsible to achieve C&I acquisition business case revenues in partnership with the global C&I team
- Drive C&I acquisition sales teams and partner with them to deliver the NAM revenue from sellable C&I products and solutions
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry influencers and strategic partners
- Be involved in the negotiation of major contracts and agreements to maximize sales opportunities
- Develop channel sales strategy for existing and new verticals to achieve scale and collaborate with the C&I global partnership teams to achieve goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
- Work closely with the NAM C&I Product teams and NAM C&I Customer Success teams
- Collaborate with the C&I Acquisition sales teams, the global C&I Sales Enablement and Partnership teams
- Work in alignment with the larger NAM Services organization and Data & Services (D&S)
- Collaborate with marketing teams and product teams to develop effective sales collateral, campaigns, and lead-generation activities
- Lead C-level customer meetings across issuer, merchant, acquirer, and digital partner segments to drive business for Mastercard and C&I
- Lead senior executive level (NAM President and C&I President) meetings to report on sales strategy, sales revenue, and key performance metrics for the NAM C&I sales team
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting the payments industry and affecting the nature of fraud and cyber
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with industry peers and prospects, and be an evangelist for Mastercard, Services and C&I
