Who you are
- Contentstack is looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven Sr Enterprise Account Executive for the DACH region to join our fast-paced, high-performing team of sales professionals looking to rise through the ranks as we continue to build upon a winning culture within the composable DXP space
- Our ideal candidate is hard-working and highly motivated to execute the sales plan
- You think outside of the traditional cadence and social selling realm
- Above all, you are passionate about innovating in the composable DXP space, delivering the best possible customer experience
- 5+ years of quota-carrying enterprise software or technology sales in a New Business role
- Enterprise SaaS (Software as a Service) experience within a fast-paced/high-growth business is required
- Demonstrable experience in strategic selling: strategy, relationship and organization mapping, etc
- Native German speaker fluent in English
- Experience leveraging Business Development Representatives
- Proven ability to generate pipeline in DACH territories
- Consistent track record of exceeding quota (top 10% of your company) in past positions
- Demonstrated an upwards trajectory of performance (against individual direct sales quotas of >$1M+)
- Sales Methodology training and strong customer references preferred
- Experienced in account analysis methodologies such as MEDDPICC preferred
- A bachelor’s or university degree preferred but not required
- Experience with the content management industry is a big plus
- MACH tech stack experience is also a big plus
- Some travel is exciting to you!
What the job involves
- You will be the first point of contact with potential customers and set the tone for future client experiences
- You will be critical and drive business growth by identifying, building, and nurturing new customer relationships
- Your consultative sales and relationship-building expertise will be essential to achieving and exceeding sales targets
- You value cold calling, and personalized email outreach, and can leverage buyer personas within Enterprise accounts
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for your territory to achieve revenue targets and expand our customer base
- Initiate meaningful conversations to understand customer needs and pain points and tailor solutions accordingly
- Work closely with the Business Development Representative to find and develop new opportunities
- Leverage Contentstack Partners to discover and run co-sell opportunities
- Qualify and drive opportunities using MEDDPICC
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
- Work closely with sales-engineering and cross-functional teams to develop and present compelling proposals that address customers’ needs
- Stay ahead on market trends, industry shifts, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
- Utilize insights to position Contentstack as a solution provider that as unique value
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics, forecasts, and performance data to assess progress and make data-driven decisions
- Keep CRM up to date and provide regular updates to management on sales performance, strategies, and market insights
Our take
As enterprises handle and produce increasing volumes of content, the Content Management System (CMS) market is still growing strongly – expected to more than double in size by 2030. To differentiate themselves in a crowded market, disruptors entering the space are championing the idea of “Headless CMS”, through which enterprises can customize the front-end visuals while offering the same level of backend infrastructure.
Co-founded by the same trio that created and sold Built.io, Contentstack is one such disruptor that’s making a strong name for itself. Founded in 2019, the platform is now used by a number of major enterprises including Shell, JPMorgan Chase, McDonald’s, and Walmart.
It’s been a very strong start to life, with huge VC funding as well as a high-profile customer base, but there is still plenty of competition – Storyblok, Prismic, Strapi, and Kontent are all well funded and growing quickly too. That being said, Contenstack is hoping that its no-code automation features will help it stand out from the rest as the company looks to grow internationally.
