Role
Who you are
- +6 years of experience as a Software Engineer (Backend, Frontend, or Fullstack), designing, building, and deploying user-facing and API-based products
- Proven TypeScript and React programming skills — professional experience in a production environment
- PHP/Laravel programming skills
- Familiar with software development best practices (Test, CI/CD, DevOps, Security…)
- Previous experience collaborating in a team-based development environment is required (sprints, code reviews, standups, problem-solving sessions)
- Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through
- Ability to balance between impact and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment

- Fluent in both French and English
- Familiar with blockchain ecosystem, Ethereum Virtual Machine and smart contracts

What the job involves
- As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Kiln, you will join our Software Development Team, composed of 13 engineers split into 3 squads, to build the future of our SaaS/API-first products
- You will report to our Lead Software Engineer, and collaborate with the Product, Infrastructure and Smart-Contract teams to work on the various products that Kiln offers
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
- Be an active contributor within the Fullstack squad owning Kiln user-facing products (Dashboard, dApp, Widget)
- Design, develop and implement new features :
- 70% frontend (e.g. using our design system to build new features or adding new components to it…)
- 30% backend (e.g. implement the transaction crafting part for a new protocol…)
- Participate in code review, test and CI/CD processes, bug fixing, and code maintenance
- Interact with customers for debugging purposes and product discovery
- Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company)
- Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices
- Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges
