Role
Who you are
- An ideal candidate has a strong vision for the future, enjoys tackling challenging problems and takes great pride in overcoming them
- BS in Computer Science / Software Engineering or 8+ years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant programming experience in C/C++
- 3+ years of experience in developing network drivers for Linux and FreeBSD
- Ambiguity doesn’t scare you. You see it as an opportunity to define the future
- Git version control
- Programming experience in Rust is a plus
- Motivated self-starter
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Experience with Japanese language and culture is a plus
Desirable
- Deep understanding and development skills in TCP/IP and network stack
- Strong debugging / analysis / troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge in Wi-Fi, 5G and Network Emulation domains

- Our Future Technology Group (FTG) is leading the Cloud Gaming revolution by putting console-quality video games on any device from TVs to consoles to mobile devices and beyond
- We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in network interface card driver development for Linux/FreeBSD, who loves designing and building innovative solutions, wants to make a difference, and enjoys working with creative, intelligent and collaborative teammates
- Never a dull day, this position offers a healthy mix of development and research projects, ensuring that work is both exciting and rewarding
- Develop and maintain Linux and FreeBSD network interface card drivers
- Research and deliver improvements and enhancements in the existing network stack
- Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in Linux network stack
- Document key technical areas and share knowledge through technical presentations

The upcoming implementation of in-game ads in free games looks to significantly increase revenue, and the wider PlayStation gaming experience also appears to be evolving from plans to launch live service games in upcoming years.
