Who you are
- Have 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years managing engineering teams
- Have a proven track record of leading teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software systems in a fast-paced environment
- Are skilled in system design and architecture, with experience guiding teams to balance short-term needs with long-term scalability
- Have strong people management skills, with experience mentoring engineers and fostering career growth
- Excel at cross-functional collaboration, aligning diverse teams to achieve shared goals
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving execution in a high-stakes, outcome-driven environment
- Have experience with metrics-driven development, such as building dashboards or tracking KPIs like first-pass yield or bug resolution SLAs
- Are familiar with robotics or hardware/software integration (preferred but not required)

- We’re seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the engineers in our Core Platform team, ensuring they deliver on business goals while building scalable, high-quality systems that delight our customers
- You’ll be responsible for holding engineers accountable, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and growing their skills
- The role requires balancing business priorities with architectural integrity, avoiding short-term hacks, and ensuring investments align with long-term goals
- You will not be expected to ship code yourself but will guide the team to success through strong management and cross-functional collaboration
- Manage and mentor a team of software engineers to achieve business outcomes
- Ensure the team delivers on the team’s goals
- Guide the team to build robust architectures while avoiding premature over-investments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Marketing, Design, Production) to align on priorities and unblock hurdles
- Foster engineer growth through coaching, feedback, and tailored development plans
- Tech Stack: Python, NodeJS/Typescript, C/C++, Docker
