Who you are
- We are looking for a tech-savvy, hard-working, strategic thinker who is eager to grow their career in the ad technology space
- The ideal candidate will have experience with ad agencies or ad tech companies providing client services for top tier clients
- Familiarity with ad agencies, publishers, and the ad tech space is highly desirable in this role
- You should understand how programmatic buys, social media advertising, and ad campaigns are bought and run
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising, Sales, Business, or a related field
- 1-2 years experience in Customer Success or client-facing campaign support roles
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and prioritization is a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Flexible, self-motivated team player who has the ability to operate within a very dynamic, fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs (specifically Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides)
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and interfaces
- Knowledge of ad technology; experience working with agencies, DSPs, and the online advertising industry is a plus

What the job involves
- Foursquare is looking for an Associate Customer Success Manager to join our Attribution Client Solutions team located in or near one of our office hubs - New York City or Seattle
- You will play an important role in providing support to new and existing attribution partnerships with some of the world’s largest brands and advertising agencies
- In this role, you will be part of a team that manages a large book of advertisers and brands, taking on key responsibilities from day-to-day client requests, to internal report set up and data analysis
- You will have the unique opportunity to help customers understand the effectiveness of their media buys by providing tangible, insightful results via the Foursquare Attribution product
- Support efforts across the Customer Success team, working cross functionally at times between Sales, Data Operations, Finance, Product, and Engineering to ensure execution is of the highest quality and timely fashion
- Efficiently manage a large and diverse portfolio of customers and set of activities with a strong focus on improving Customer Health and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks such as pre-campaign feasibility, report setup, report and pixel QA, custom ad hoc requests and troubleshooting
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) with a sense of urgency and timely, proactive communication
- Take a relentless approach on advocating for your customers
Our take
Foursquare was originally built as an app to make use of mobile phone GPS to 'check in' at certain locations. Over time, it has transformed from a user location check-in app into a large location platform that provides analytics to several business and consumer products.
Foursquare operates in a crowded market, but by continually innovating, it has managed to successfully fend off competitors. However, with the likes of Google Maps and Facebook Places in the same industry, it will be continually needing to set itself apart. Foursquare shows its appeal, though: major players including Twitter, Uber, Apple Maps, and Airbnb, to name a few, use the platform.
The company has an ambitious goal of bringing "Foursquare Everywhere", with part of its strategy to grow by acquisitions. For example, it acquired Unfolded, a geospatial analytics firm, to help enhance its analysis of location data. Foursquare has also made a deal with social media giant TikTok to provide insight into users' in-store activity to monitor the effectiveness of ads on the video platform, and partnered with Constellation Network to provide insights into restaurant and retail business traffic trends.
