Role
Who you are
- This role is ideal for a law student who has completed their first year (1L) and is interested in gaining hands-on, in-house legal experience within a fast-growing consumer products company
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian law school and have completed first year (1L) by the start of the internship
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written communication skills
- Interest in corporate, commercial, or in-house legal practice
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
What the job involves
- Term: 4 months (May to August 2026)
- We are seeking a Legal Intern to join our Legal team for the summer
- The Legal Intern will work closely with the SVP, Legal and will gain exposure to a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, with a focus on contracts, governance, and legal operations
- Assist with the review, drafting, and administration of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other standard commercial agreements
- Support in reviewing and organizing vendor, supplier, distributor, and services contracts
- Help maintain and update the Company’s contract repository, including cataloguing agreements, key terms, and renewal dates
- Assist with the preparation and organization of Board and committee materials, including agendas, resolutions, and minutes
- Conduct basic legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters as needed
- Support general legal operations and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with ad hoc legal and business projects as they arise
