Role
Who you are
- Experience in general accounting practices and can work effectively alongside the Financial Control team to ensure data integrity, interpreting large datasets and translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
- A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. Your collaboration and communication skills are essential for building strong relationships across the finance team and with key business stakeholders
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen
- You are a self-starter who thrives on ownership and is motivated by making improvements
What the job involves
- We/re looking for an experienced and highly motivated FP&A Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract
- This is an exciting time to be part of our organization as we navigate a period of significant growth and change
- The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the team as we implement new FP&A tools and systems
- Working closely with the Head of FP&A and the existing FP&A Manager, you will take ownership of key forecasting, reporting, and business partnering tasks
- This will allow the permanent team to focus on the successful implementation of our new tools and broader business transformation
- Delivering on forecasting and planning that drives results for our customers and trades
- Spotting ways to improve how we budget on an annual basis and plan out our 5 year strategy. Also improving our reporting and analysis capabilities
- Collaborating with the business for all things systems and process related in orde to get things done
- Making sure every interaction leaves people feeling confident in Checkatrade
