Who you are
- We’re looking for someone with the ability to deliver on a handful of roles in parallel with a focus on speed and quality, a data-driven approach to building pipelines and advising the team, and a commitment to hiring experiences that leave candidates confident Sona is the right place for them
- You’re an experienced full-lifecycle recruiter, ideally with experience in hiring for a high-growth, early-stage company
- You recognise the importance of hiring a diverse team and can implement strategies that give us the best chance of success

- You know your numbers and understand how to use key recruiting metrics to assess the health of your roles, troubleshoot, and advise teams on making the best hiring decisions
What the job involves
- Joining Sona’s Talent team is an ideal role for someone excited to make an impact on an early-stage Talent function at a high-growth startup and work directly with our most senior leaders to grow an exceptional commercial team
- You’ll be one of a two-person team with a broad hiring remit in either commercial or product and engineering hiring
- Speed is everything at Sona and, in Talent, our goal is to make the very best hire we can for every position in the team
- It’s a tough balance to strike but with the support of experienced, pragmatic hiring teams who know the importance of good recruiting, a strong employer brand and value-proposition to present to a large candidate pool, and a market-leading set of recruiting tools, you’ll be well set up for success
- To excel, you’ll need to learn Sona inside out, to help you identify the candidates who will bring the most to our team and share the information they need to be excited to join us!
- Own the full hiring lifecycle for commercial or product and engineering hires at Sona
- Implement strategies to ensure we hire a diverse team across the board
- Plan and execute initiatives to continuously improve our hiring
Our take
80% of people don’t work at desks, but the technology for deskless workers only attracts 1% of all enterprise software investment. Consequently, little software has been designed to benefit the frontline. Sona is a workforce technology startup setting out to help solve this issue, building an all-in-one platform specially designed to empower frontline workers and help their employers retain staff and operate more efficiently.
By using its app, users can view and claim shifts, communicate with their colleagues, and book holidays. Moreover, Sona has additional modules for HR, Payroll, and Engagement, so customers can manage all of their people operations in one place, or integrate with their existing tools.
Sona is an early-stage startup, yet already counts big names across Social Care, Hospitality, and the Charities sector who have combined to book millions of shifts on the Sona platform.
