Who you are

8+ years of professional development experience
Expertise, both depth and breadth, in Android, Kotlin, and Java
Customer-focused mentality when decomposing large or complex projects into deliverable milestones
Pragmatic adaptation to legacy and modern Android architectures
Deep understanding of mobile application performance and practical approach to tradeoffs between space and time complexity and development effort
Strong proficiency with concurrency in Java and Kotlin (e.g., handling multithreading, coroutines, etc.)
Experience using a well-established Dependency Injection framework in Android (Dagger, Hilt, Koin, etc.)
Understanding of infrastructure and ops, such as Gradle tooling, CI/CD, Build Scripts, etc
Solid background in unit and integration testing (bonus points for experience with Mockito/MockK)
Understanding of REST API best practices and ability to review API designs with partner teams
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience

What the job involves

Join our Mobile Development Team. In this role, you will work with our Engineering and Product teams to provide next generation mobile experiences that empower our customers to improve how they work
As a principal engineer, you will be responsible for defining architectural direction, pioneering rich user experiences and driving features across multiple teams
You will report directly to the Director of Engineering
Lead and grow mobile engineers of all levels, pairing with and coaching team members, while driving high standards during design and code reviews
Design and develop all aspects of our mobile application, including reliability and performance optimizations in highly complex areas
Take strong ownership over end to end Android application design, development, test, and deployment
Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis in identifying solutions for production issues
Support cross-platform development teams (Android, iOS, NDK, KMM, etc.)
