Who you are
- 5+ years of recruiting experience with at least 2+ years of technical recruiting experience at a startup
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-urgency environments, maintaining attention to detail and quality
- A self-starter with experience taking projects from 0-1 with little oversight and ability to articulate the why's and how's in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Clear track record of success with hiring senior/staff+ engineering talent
- Ability to effectively influence engineering leaders to shape hiring strategies
- Proven experience with complex candidate closes
- Analytical thinker that understands how to utilize pipeline metrics to inform recruiting strategies and identify bottlenecks
- Customer-focused attitude, excellent interpersonal skills to handle all levels within an organization, and a track record of providing a high-touch experience to both candidates and hiring managers
What the job involves
- As a Senior Technical Recruiter at GlossGenius, you will be responsible for owning the full-lifecycle recruitment process for roles across our engineering pillars, this can include both pipeline-based hiring and unique job requisitions
- You will partner with our engineering leaders to develop, execute, and improve on our hiring strategies to attract and hire top talent across NYC, SF, and Toronto
- You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Recruiting
- Run an efficient, high-touch, full-lifecycle recruiting process for searches of varying levels of complexity
- Own sourcing for a variety of roles which will include talent mapping, market research, referral generation, and other creative strategies to find stellar technical talent
- Leverage tools like Greenhouse and Gem to track candidate progress, resurface existing talent, and ensure high-quality data integrity
- Manage stakeholder relationships, drive alignment on priorities, and leverage data to influence decision-making and strategy
- Promote GlossGenius’ culture and values to attract top talent and increase the company's employer brand awareness
- Maintain a strong pulse on the technical talent market and provide insights on competitive hiring trends

Business management platforms exist for a wide range of industries, including retail, hospitality, and healthcare. However, despite a modern facade the beauty industry lacks specialised software and still runs on generic CRMs and basic spreadsheets. Recognising a gap in the market, GlossGenius has stepped in to provided a specialised business management platform for beauty salons, spas and studios.
With no competition in this niche, GlossGenius has swiftly captured a large market share, with triple-digit year on year revenue growth. It serves over 40,000 businesses (70% of which are women-owned) and has more than $2 billion in annual transactions on the platform.
GlossGenius has raised a large amount of capital in several funding rounds closed in quick succession. It is aiming to accelerate platform development off the back of its releasing of consumer experience, payment and automation products. It is well on the way to fulfilling its long-term aim of developing into the Toast of the beauty industry.
