Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud service provider
- 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure environments; AWS strongly preferred
- Release automation (GitHub Actions preferred) with CI/CD pipelines
- Linux administration, and Linux debugging experience , RHCE or similar desired
- Experience using programming languages (Python, Ruby on Rails) to manage cloud environments at scale
- Experience in the following: MongoDB, SQL, HashiStack, Kafka, Redis
- Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to operate in an agile environment that is rapidly evolving
- Have excellent communication skills- English fluency of C1 or higher preferred
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required
What the job involves
- As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be embedded within the Non-Employee Risk Management team to build and maintain resilient, secure and efficient SaaS applications
- You will work closely with Software Engineers and DevOps Engineers alike
- You will take on the role of subject matter expert of DevOps within your application team(s)
- You will report directly to the Manager, NERM DevOPs on the Non-Employee Risk Management product team
- Partner with the Non-Employee Risk Management Application Teams to build and maintain resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS (software as a service) applications that meet established SLAs (service level agreements)
- Automate deployment, monitoring, management, and incident response
- Monitor site stability and performance and troubleshoot service issues
- Automate the scaling infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand
- Manage cross-functional requirements working with Engineering, Product, and Centralized DevOps teams to maintain core platform standards while supporting rapid service development
- Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
- Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
- Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, such as FedRAMP, ISO27001, SOC1, SOC2, IRAP, C5, etc
- Must be willing to be part of an on-call rotation
- Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives
