Who you are
- Entrepreneurial self-starter who needs little guidance & takes ownership of every deal
- Commercially focused and able to prioritise effectively to drive revenue and achieve targets
- Extroverted and comfortable speaking with founders & management teams. Naturally good at building relationships
- Hardworking, optimistic and able to embrace the change that is constant in a scale-up
- Can drive timelines and keep clients engaged and moving forward
- Curious & inquisitive with a desire to learn and work outside one’s comfort zone with a keen interest for start-ups or fundraising
- Well organised and can manage many client accounts & multiple work streams concurrently
- Great communicator and to manage expectations, negotiations and offer advice to C-suite
- Be able to deal with high-pressure situations
- Great language skills and be fluent in both French and English (this is essential for the role)
- Account management or sales experience 3-7 years
- Work in a start-up or fundraising environment is preferable
- Understand the fundamentals of business and what makes a good investment opportunity
- Copywriting & understanding how to build a strong narrative for different investors
- Advise companies on various crowdfunding strategies
- Elementary knowledge of the start-up ecosystem, fundraising & Venture Capital
- Working proficiency in French & English (Spanish is preferable)

What the job involves
- Account Management:
- Own the client relationship and remain key point of contact through the campaign process for ‘Business as usual’ (BAU) clients raising between £150k-£1m
- External meetings with key stakeholders
- Guide opportunities through the entire ECM funnel. Liaise between teams where necessary to ensure a smooth experience for the client and an efficient internal process
- Sales: Assist in finalising the sales process by keeping clients engaged and moving quickly through the funnel, whilst upselling when relevant
- Project management: Internally/externally to ensure key deadlines are not missed
- Reporting: Ensure the data you are reporting to the business is accurate
- Consulting: Educate on requirements for successfully executing a crowdfunding campaign
- Diligence: educate founders on how best to create a complaint pitch under the EU crowdfunding regulations
- Marketing:
- Look at various channels and advise the best strategies; segmentation, narrative, positioning, PR
- Analyse active pitch performance and develop optimisation strategies
- For certain clients, write investment summaries

- Our interview process typically consists of an initial phone screen, an interview with the hiring manager and a task, followed by a final interview with other members of the team. There aren't any trick questions and the task will typically be based on a real scenario the team have worked on

The number of startups looking for funding in Europe has grown dramatically over the last decade. Crowdfunding provides a solution to this, allowing companies to tap into the public rather than rely on institutional investors. The European crowdfunding market is predicted to be $5BN by 2025 and the amount of money pledged on crowdfunding platforms is now starting to rival traditional VC funding.
The company's best known competitor is Seedrs, and they both consistently compete to take on the most exciting startups as customers. For example, Revolut has hosted crowdfunding rounds on both Crowdcube and Seedrs. What set both companies apart though, has been their reach.
Crowdcube has worked hard to secure the first license to raise funding across European borders - not a measly feat by any chance. This gives them more than a leg up as the company can now expand its startup portfolio and present its users with a wider range of interesting companies to choose from.
