Role
Who you are
- You should be comfortable managing client-facing communication across mature organizations and interfacing with executives, project leads, and operational teams while acting as a customer advocate internally
- You have 6+ years in a tech industry client-facing role where you have taken on the role of manager or consultant, guiding the customer through best practices and key change management decisions
- You have deep understanding of KYB, KYC, AML, CDD regulations and U.S. compliance standards; experience designing solutions and workflows that support regulatory needs
- You have the technical aptitude to learn quickly, rapidly build product knowledge, and to build configurations; an understanding of web applications (e.g. json, xml, etc) and web services API's (e.g. SOAP, REST, etc)
- You are hyper-organized with the ability to intelligently prioritize multiple competing projects and multiple streams of internal and external communication
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internal and client-facing, with an ability to translate technical requirements into language that is understandable to different audiences
- You have a passion for problem-solving, with a strong ability to recognize flawed processes or repeated issues and build scalable solutions
- You have expertise in building and delivering presentations with clear, concise and compelling messages
- Prior experience with bank or similar KYC / Credit / Risk decisioning systems (internal or external)
- Prior experience at a FinTech company or other financial institution subject to rigorous regulations
- Prior experience in both enterprise software and a growth-stage technology/SaaS company
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, math, economics, statistics, computer science or other relevant field
- Familiarity with Zendesk, Slack, and JIRA
What the job involves
- Be a trusted advisor to our clients, utilizing your industry and domain expertise to tailor risk decisioning strategies and recommendations
- Each client has unique risk and identity verification standards - you will be providing technical and operational guidance to help them effectively leverage our platform to detect, fight, and mitigate fraud
- You will work closely with the Account Management and Risk teams to support and guide customer growth and solution adoption by monitoring product usage and performance
- Additionally, you will work with MANTL’s product and data teams to suggest improvements in the products to help clients achieve higher automated verification rates and lower fraud losses
Our take
Credit unions and community banks make up a large proportion of the roughly 10,000 banks in the US, but many of these small organizations struggle to provide key online services. Lacking the budgets to build the software needed, they usually outsource their services to legacy providers with outdated, decades-old software.
MANTL, originally established as a challenger bank, quickly realized a gap in the market and now provides digital account opening products to community banks and credit unions. Compared to older competitors such as Fiserv and Jack Henry, MANTL is able to open an account in less than 3 minutes rather than days or even weeks, and reduces fraud by more than 60%.
MANTL's success can be partly attributed to a nationwide shift from physical in-branch banking to mobile platforms, which has encouraged many more people to use apps for making deposits. This trend is showing no sign of slowing down, and with a customer base serving hundreds of thousands of people and a high degree of investment, MANTL is well poised for future success.
