Role
Who you are
- 5-+ years of relevant experience interpreting data as an analyst or equivalent
- High proficiency in querying and modeling data using Python and SQL
- Ability to translate a business question into an analytical requirement considering its context: what the business is trying to achieve, the processes around it, the systems that interact and the data points available
- Analyze the results of A/B-test experiments and derive conclusions or new hypothesis the business can follow up on
- Great communication skills in stakeholder management from diverse backgrounds
- Great communication skills in storytelling capable of creating a consistent narrative that gives meaning to the numbers
- Extensive experience using different data visualization and reporting tools
- Experience on analytics engineering using dbt is highly desirable
- Plus: experience with experimentation platforms (eg. ABSmartly, Optimizely) and product analytical tools (eg. Indicative, Amplitude)
What the job involves
- We are seeking a driven and ambitious Data Analyst to join our growing Data Analytics team, based in Berlin
- Our team provides support across all teams like Product, Sales and Operations by developing insights and enabling analytical and automated decision making
- We build strong partnerships with key stakeholders and work on challenges such as defining, implementing and tracking company-wide metrics, and leading initiatives to improve them
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define data analytical requirements that will help driving business initiatives
- Define KPIs, success and health metrics in the context of product and business initiatives
- Identify relevant data sources and work with data engineers and tracking experts to source the right data into the analytics environment
- Prepare data to make it suitable for the analysis in context
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights
- Utilize statistical methods to extract actionable information from data
- Develop and maintain core data models to support business analysts
- Support stakeholders during the hypothesis formulation and validation phase
- With the collaboration of the data science and engineering teams, design and implement experiments around upcoming product features
- Design and create effective data visualizations to communicate insights and trends
- Hands-on experience with traditional BI tools (Tableau, Metabase) and, ideally, product analytics tools (Indicative) as well
- Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and product managers and decision makers
- Provide training and support to end users for interpreting and using data visualizations in a self-service manner effectively
