Role

Who you are

  • 7-10 years of sales experience in the federal sector, specifically in cybersecurity solutions and/or FedRAMP-authorized products. Prior experience working in a startup environment is a strong plus
  • Proven knowledge of FedRAMP regulations, compliance standards, and cybersecurity principles relevant to the federal market
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a proactive, goal-driven approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment typical of a startup, with the ability to quickly pivot and adapt to changing market dynamics

What the job involves

  • We are seeking a driven and experienced Director of Federal Sales to join our team, focusing on expanding our reach within the federal sector
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for federal accounts, focusing on introducing and expanding our cybersecurity solutions within various agencies
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key federal stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers to drive sales growth and ensure long-term partnerships
  • Product Knowledge & Advocacy: Serve as a trusted advisor on our FedRAMP-authorized cybersecurity products, articulating the value proposition, benefits, and technical aspects relevant to federal customers
  • Market Insights & Feedback: Provide insights into federal cybersecurity trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs, working closely with product and marketing teams to refine offerings
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing, ensuring a seamless experience for customers

Our take

Remembering loads of different passwords can be difficult, which is why devices have begun to use biometrics instead. But to log in to many websites and apps, a password is still necessary - which is where Beyond Identity comes in.

Combining biometric technology with digital authority certification, Beyond Identity allows secure enclaves to grant access to not only a device but also the websites and apps used on that device. Its aim is to use this system to provide a password-free user experience that is not only seamless but more secure.

Its a valuable offering which has the company attract customers such as Snowflake, Roblox, Cloud Plus, and Paya Holding. It has also raised huge amounts of funding and demonstrated strong growth - in part fuelled by increasing demand from the shift to remote working. For now, Beyond Identity continues to expand operations and deliver new features such as "RealityCheck", which addresses AI deception in digital communications.
