- Hands-on experience building AI systems using large language models
- Proficient in Python and production-quality software engineering practices
- Skilled in working with real-world data, especially healthcare data is a huge plus
- Effective collaborator and communicator in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
- MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
What the job involves
- Design, build, deploy and improve advanced ML and generative AI (e.g. large language model) solutions for patient and provider-facing products (e.g., conversational AI, personalization, user understanding, clinical decision support)
- Drive technical strategy and own end-to-end AI initiatives from data exploration and modeling, evaluation, A/B testing, deployment, and continuous monitoring for improvement
- Evaluate and integrate emerging research and algorithms to advance the company’s AI capabilities, keeping pace with the latest developments in AI
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians, researchers, engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers to drive product improvements
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to interns and junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation

Telehealth has boomed in recent years but, like any technological shift, new problems have arisen. Even though the U.S. healthcare system has successfully adopted virtual care, challenges lie ahead to ensure it is used to deliver the best care to patients and at the right cost.
Curai aims to integrate technology into human processes so it can complement how doctors work. It is a chat-based platform that uses artificial intelligence to help them make better and quicker decisions. Doctors who see patients still have to operate electronic health records, which can be time-consuming. Curai's algorithm scans through medical records and organises key points in seconds. By leveraging AI to increase productivity, they plan to make the cost of care lower.
Curai Health is partly backed by billionaire venture capitalist Vinod Khosla, the father of the co-founder and CEO, Neal Khosla. The company has partnered with WorkWhile, an hourly labor marketplace, to provide free access to telehealth services for workers on its platform. Securing more key partnerships such as this and its 2024 partnership with healthcare benefits platform Rightway will be key to its future success.
