What the job involves
- We are seeking an Associate Manager, Veterinary Brand Marketing to join our dynamic team
- In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing against our vet social strategy and leading the day-to-day marketing & communication efforts across all our platforms
- You will help bring to life and distribute articles, white papers and video content, supporting key brand and product messages that engage our audience across various stages, including awareness, conversion, adoption and retention - all while ensuring high quality, accuracy, and relevance
- You’ll support Butterfly veterinarian and vet influencer partnerships, collaborating with partners during key moments within the vet marketing calendar
- And, you will drive integrated marketing campaigns - collaborating with internal teams and external partners - while owning the briefing, creative execution, production and go-to-market planning

- Manage and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of brand projects from concept to completion, meeting project deadlines.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of brand content initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet KPIs and ROI targets
- Collaborate with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors to scale content production and meet deadlines
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously proactively managing product status to key stakeholders
- Develop and execute the social media strategy, aligning the monthly calendar with the marketing plan
- Drive impressions, follower growth, and engagement through high-impact programs and creative ideas
- Collaborate with agencies to produce engaging content for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and other platforms, including reels, videos, and posts
- Manage daily channel operations, scheduling, and proactive content planning with agency support
- Coordinate with teams and clients to gather content and approvals, ensuring timely delivery
- Write and edit compelling copy for all platforms, finalizing content with agencies
- Oversee shoots, content creation, and video production with agencies and teams
- Engage with communities to foster two-way communication and amplify brand advocates
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new content and brand initiatives, ensuring maximum impact and audience alignment
- Manage brand projects end-to-end, from briefing through creative development and production
- Create and implement content strategies aligned with business goals across awareness, conversion, adoption, and retention
- Plan and oversee the production of diverse content types, including articles, case studies, videos, and white papers
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content aligns with strategic goals, brand guidelines, and compliance
- Leverage content across multiple channels, including social media, YouTube, and email, for maximum reach
- Translate internal requests into actionable briefs for agencies and manage tight deadlines
- Develop and nurture relationships with influencers and partners to drive brand awareness and engagement
- Collaborate with influencers to co-create content that aligns with brand messaging and amplifies our presence
- Whole Solutions & Roadmap Impact: Provide market insights to Product & Engineering teams to influence hardware, software, and AI advancements. Ensure our offering remains best-in-class for Veterinary Medicine
- Whole Solutions Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling, differentiated messaging that clearly articulates our value proposition in Veterinary Medicine to all decision-makers, leaders, clinical educators, and frontline doctors
- Competitive Intelligence: Analyze competitors, identify differentiation opportunities, and refine Butterfly’s positioning in the market
- Pipeline Development & Lead Conversion: Drive demand generation and engagement strategies that accelerate lead conversion and revenue growth across the Veterinary sector
- Sales Enablement & Playbook Development: Equip Veterinary sales & distributors with training, tools, and messaging frameworks to effectively communicate our value proposition
- Case Studies & Thought Leadership: Collaborate with key customers to develop case studies and best practices that showcase the impact of Butterfly in veterinary environments
Our take
Ultrasound machines are invaluable tools for clinicians, but these setups remain inaccessible to many. This is due to existing machines relying on quartz-powered transducers and other specialized components, resulting in a very large size and an expensive price tag.
Butterfly Network builds innovative, inexpensive, and compact ultrasound technology in order to increase access to clinics across the U.S. The device is around the same size as an electric razor, a design made possible by storing the ultrasound technology on a chip as opposed to a semi-conductor.
Whilst the company has not innovated the ultrasound process itself, Butterfly Network has found a unique gap in the market by providing inexpensive and easy-to-use access to the many clinics that could benefit from having an ultrasound machine. The device is available for under $2,000, but software designed for easy access and interpretation of ultrasound imagery comes at an additional monthly cost.
The company has also launched its very own AI marketplace called ''Butterfly Garden'' where medical device companies, virtual care companies, and AI developers can access Butterfly's software development kit. This will enable them to build new applications that reach Butterfly's prominent installed base.
