Role
Who you are
- Data modelling & transformation. You are comfortable defining, implementing and maintaining canonical upstream data models (e.g. Kimball, Inmon) that enable a wide range of downstream use-cases. Prior experience with dbt Cloud/Core for data modelling is highly preferable
- Data visualisation. You are able to build data visualisations and reports using BI tooling such as ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau, Metabase or similar
- Data architecture. You understand data architecture, data quality and data governance. You’re comfortable making decisions on these to meet the organisation’s needs
- Query languages. You are comfortable working with SQL to query and model structured and unstructured data. Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python is preferable
- Documentation. You understand the value of distributing the data models and insights you’ve developed by creating documents to effectively communicate business requirements and problems for a range of audiences
- Attention to detail. You do not let important details slip through the cracks
- Organization & planning. You plan, organise and schedule in an efficient manner. You know which priorities are important and choose to work on those. You transparently drop things which are lower priority, and focus upon high leverage activities

What the job involves
- To assist in the design, creation and maintenance of business reporting, using a modern data stack to enable business decisions in Accredible
- Your contributions help: make better business decisions by surfacing and presenting accurate data via deep, insightful reporting
- This role reports to the Director of Business Analytics
- Data Modeling: Working with team members to understand how to represent our business in data, and then modelling that understanding using technology such as dbt or Coalesce
- Data Pipeline: Develop and maintain robust orchestration pipelines across input models and transformation models, ensuring that steps have been taken to guarantee robustness (eg. testing, CI/CD automation)
- Reporting: Designing and creating critical business reporting. This includes working collaboratively with key stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
- Contributing to organisational alignment: Assist the team in maintaining the business data dictionary, and aligning key metrics and definitions with help from the team
- Executing our business analytics roadmap: Working closely with the Director of Business Analytics to improve upon the data stack, create new data models, and assist the business with decision making via content-rich reporting
