Who you are
- Are currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Hospitality, Facilities Management, Human Resources, Event Management, or a related field (or have equivalent experience), graduating between Fall 2026- Spring 2027
- Are highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Enjoy planning, supporting, and executing events
- Are curious about how offices operate and how employee experiences are designed
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Can lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and assist with basic event setup
What the job involves
- Crusoe is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Workplace Intern for a project-based summer internship focused on employee experience, workplace operations, and event execution
- This role will be primarily in-office and split across both office locations, offering a hands-on opportunity to learn how a modern workplace operates from the inside
- The core focus of this internship will be supporting the planning and execution of a large, office-wide summer event
- Through this project, the intern will gain exposure to workplace operations, employee experience initiatives, cross-functional collaboration, and on-site event coordination
- In addition to the project, the intern will support day-to-day workplace operations and participate in other experiential learning opportunities outlined below
- This internship is designed to immerse the intern in the inner workings of the office while providing mentorship, structured learning, and real-world experience
- Participate in regular office walks to learn how shared spaces are maintained and supported
- Assist with stocking, organizing, and preparing conference rooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Support light front-of-house activities such as greeting guests and assisting with visitor check-ins
- Organize packages and office deliveries
- Assist with office events and employee engagement activities beyond the core project
- Shadow and support the Workplace team on operational and administrative tasks to understand how workplace programs function day-to-day
- Participate in team meetings and learn best practices for workplace operations, facilities coordination, and employee experience design
- Assist with planning and executing office events and meetings, including room setup, breakdown, signage, and catering coordination
- Support employee engagement initiatives and on-site activities
Our take
Crusoe is tackling one of the biggest challenges facing the digital age: the enormous energy demand of data centres and AI infrastructure. As AI models grow more powerful, they require immense computing power (and therefor electricity) to train and operate. This surge in energy use has put some pressure on power grids, driven up costs, and raised environmental concerns. Crusoe is on a mission to make this process more sustainable by finding smarter, cleaner, and more efficient ways to power the data centres that drive modern computing.
The company started out by putting wasted energy to work. Originally known as Crusoe Energy, it captured natural gas that would otherwise be burned off ("flared") at remote oil sites and used it to power modular data centres. Today, Crusoe has evolved into a major player in AI infrastructure, designing and operating large-scale data centres near renewable or stranded energy sources. It's now one of a handful of "neocloud" companies (next-generation cloud providers focused on flexible, efficient computing for AI workloads). And its facilities are helping tech giants like OpenAI handle the massive computing requirements of training advanced AI models.
Recently, Crusoe has attracted some huge investor attention, tripling its valuation to over $10B and raising $1.4B in its latest funding round. It's building OpenAI's first major US data centre campus and even experimenting with bold new frontiers. In partnership with Starcloud, Crusoe plans to deploy the world's first space-based cloud computing infrastructure, powered by solar energy and orbiting the Earth by 2027. If successful, this could redefine how and where computing happens, opening up a cleaner, virtually limitless source of energy for AI's next generation.
