Who you are
- We are seeking driven individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities – a self-starter who can work independently but who is also a good team-player
- This individual will need to be able to pick things up quickly and be able to meet deadlines with multiple tasks
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3–5 years of total experience, preferably combined across public accounting and industry
- An understanding of GAAP standards
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with process improvement and proficiency with spreadsheets
- Experience using SQL
- Hands-on experience in the financial close process (preferred)
- Experience with blockchain, digital assets, and crypto (preferred)
- Experience using a crypto subledger (preferred)
What the job involves
- Robinhood is looking for a skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our rapidly growing Accounting team
- As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will support core accounting operations while helping build and perform reconciliation processes for new and existing products, including crypto-native offerings
- You will play a hands-on role in the monthly close, financial analysis, audit support, and accounting research while partnering with other teams to improve processes and data flow!
- Build and perform crypto-native reconciliation processes for new products using data sourced from internal ledgers
- Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations
- Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances
- Assist with compiling year-end external audit requests
- Research important accounting issues and apply best practices in accordance with accounting standards
- Assist with ad hoc research, cleanup, and reporting projects
- Work with various departments to streamline data flow and accounting processes
- Assist with system automation projects as needed
