Who you are
- A passion for low-level software (mainly x86)
- A knack for higher level construct to ensure code quality (e.g., Rust)
- Knowledgeable of the Linux kernel
- Dedication to be part of a small, young team and help it grow its expertise
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with C/C++ or Rust
- Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts
Desirable
- Knowledge of low-level security and security mitigations and a strong desire to grow your expertise where required
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, including CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps
- Contributions to open-source projects
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge security technologies to join our Runtime Encryption team
- In this role, you will help design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that enhance data security through the use of confidential computing
- This is a unique opportunity to work on the frontier of data privacy, cryptography, and secure computing to protect sensitive data in use, at rest, and in transit
- Develop tools and SDKs for confidential computing platforms
- Support other teams within Fortanix to use tools related to confidential computing platforms developed internally
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet security and performance standards
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in security and confidential computing
- Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices in software development, and maintain high standards of code quality
- Drive the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and processes to improve development efficiency and product quality
