Role
Who you are
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer developing enterprise web applications front and back end
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience with AWS, AWS ECS, Spring Cloud, EC2, Lambda, S3, Kubernetes, Java, Groovy, Mysql, Redis, Shell/Bash, HTML, JavaScript & Angular JS/14, HTML, CSS, SCSS, TypeScript, UML, Unix
- Experience in GIT / Bitbucket
- Experience in working in an AWS environment and Docker / containerisation (as a plus)
- 3+ years working experience in Restful API design and microservice architecture
- Experience working with Figma designs
- Good working experience in frameworks like Spring Boot, JPA / Hibernate
- Experience in relational database design and modelling and knowledge of NoSQL & KV structures
- Experience in testing (unit, integration and e2e)
- An analytical mind with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Great attention to detail
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent English, written and spoken, ability to communicate competently with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with Salesforce platform
Desirable
- Some knowledge of SOC 2 and compliance would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Kafkam Elastic Searchm Postgresql would be advantageous
- Knowledge of authentication & authorization mechanisms such as SSO
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with CPQ / SaaS software
- Experience upgrading legacy code to the latest frameworks (specifically java versions), and upgrading legacy infrastructure
What the job involves
- Work across the full stack, building scalable solutions that deliver positive user experiences
- Gain a good understanding of the SCOPE Better product to learn the features sets that are in place today
- Develop new and enhance existing product features to support business and project requirements
- Investigate and resolve bugs and issues as required
- Assume leadership of assigned tasks and projects from conceptualisation to deployment
- Working in an autonomous way using agile methodologies
- Maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
- Adhere to best practices and pursue continued learning opportunities
- Working closely in collaboration with cross-team colleagues across the UK, Australia and Europe
- Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered as part of all developments
- Build the front-end of applications using appealing visual design including working with UX/UI specialists
- Design and develop integrations with third party systems
- Write unit tests and test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software as needed
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
- Write and update technical documentation as required
- Collaborate across time zones via Zoom, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences
