Senior Software Engineer, Nuro

• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and programming skills using C++ and Python, and proficiency with Git for collaboration and code versioning
• Ability to work closely across a variety of end-users to define product requirements, iterate, deliver, and maintain effective internal products
• Knowledge of common UI frameworks (e.g. Qt, React, Vue.js) for building interactive interfaces and a familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases for logging and querying data
• Ability to ramp up quickly to the domain of autonomous driving and machine learning, including the capacity and willingness to learn about fundamental ML and robotics concepts to benefit the quality of the tools you build
• Good team player, and an enthusiasm to build systems to support autonomy development

• The mandate of the Behavior team is to use advanced robotic and machine learning techniques to accelerate autonomy progress
• In this role, you will be working as a member of the Behavior team with the goal of building visualizations, tooling, and methodologies to better understand, explain, and improve our autonomy and machine learning models
• This includes building on top of existing frameworks and developing custom visualization for model introspection and autonomy understanding
• In this role you will work across a variety of models within the Behavior team including prediction, planning, and foundational world models, as well as LLMs and VLMs
