Role
Who you are
- All engineers and researchers are expected to have strong communication skills. They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates
- We’re looking for exceptional AI engineers who want to join us on a new project to integrate Grok into all parts of our X Ads Platform
- We’re looking for individuals who have built exceptional advertising products and systems at massive scale across bidding, auction, marketplace, ranking, prediction, and product
- 3+ years of industry experience working on large-scale, high-throughput AI powered advertising products

- We’re bringing xAI’s technology stack to X and using it to transform our advertising stack
- Leverage the latest Grok models to power all stages of our advertising stack, from candidate selection to ranking, auction, campaign optimization, creative generation and advertiser experience
- Own and operate systems and products driving the majority of X’s revenue
Application process
- After submitting your application, the team reviews your CV and statement of exceptional work
- If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 15 minute interview (“phone interview”) during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions
- If you clear the initial phone interview, you will enter the main process, which consists of 2 technical interviews and 1 project deep-dive interview:
- Practical coding assessment in a language of your choice
- Systems design hands-on: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session
- Project deep-dive: Present and answer questions about exceptional work that you’ve done
- Meet and greet with the wider team
- Our goal is to finish the main process within one week. Final interviews will be conducted in person

Its setting out to build AI that helps humanity understand the universe and its starting with Grok, its conversational AI chatbot already integrated into X (formerly Twitter).
