Who you are
- We are seeking an experienced seller with a strong advertising and media sales background, an extensive book of business and deep, high level direct to client relationships with Fortune 500 brands looking to reach female consumers
- 12+ years’ experience in selling content and media partnerships, influencer marketing, agency services, strategy, creative, and social
- Results-driven seller with a reputation for meeting and exceeding revenue goals and motivating sales teams
- Proven track record for being a self-starter, solution-oriented strategic thinker, thoughtful decision maker and creative collaborator
- Client-first, relationship-oriented leader with an extensive book of business and deep relationships with Fortune 500 brands and clients looking to reach a female consumer
- Customer-obsessed executive who keeps the focus on the most impactful way to engage, grow, and identify new client opportunities

What the job involves
- Hello Sunshine is seeking a highly talented Sales Lead to actively drive revenue through content and media partnerships across Hello Sunshine properties (Hello Sunshine O&O, The Home Edit, Reese’s Book Club, Shine Away Experiential Franchise, The Hello Sunshine Collective and The Bright Side Podcast
- This sales leader will help prospective clients recognize the opportunity to tap into Hello Sunshine’s unparalleled flywheel across content, social, experiential, audio, influencer/talent, commerce and expertise in premium storytelling, brand building, community cultivation and an unparalleled understanding of the female consumer
- The role will report to the SVP of Solar, Hello Sunshine’s internal marketing engine and creative studio
- This role is a temporary position, based out of New York City, designed to provide coverage for an employee going out on parental leave and will have a duration of 4 months
- Maintain book of business, build new business strategies and drive high-margin revenue for Hello Sunshine through content and media partnerships, next generation consumer experiences and social agency services
- Identify new business opportunities and actively pursue revenue from existing and new clients to achieve quarterly revenue goals
- Nurture and own client direct executive relationships and identify new areas for engagement, organic growth and incremental business
- Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of Hello Sunshine IP, brands and programming, creator networks, talent, social platforms, emerging consumer channels and technologies, key tentpole events/experiences and the company’s various offerings
- Represent the client perspective in the development of insight-led & multi-channel campaigns and partnerships
- Foster an engaging, collaborative, inspiring, innovative environment across team to lead to the development and execution of stellar impactful, client solutions

Hello Sunshine provides a feminist online media platform, shining a light on film, television, podcasts, and other media formats created by women. The company also runs the female authorship Reese's Book Club, in addition to a newsletter and an online clothing store. Whilst the broadness of content formats Hello Sunshine promotes may present itself as a challenge to the company, it has unified its versatility with its exclusive focus on female authorship and creativity.
In 2021, the company was sold for over $900M to a media company backed by Blackstone. Since then, Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Harden have continued to serve on the board and oversee day-to-day operations. The company is focused on changing and transforming the industry, promoting creators who have been structurally sidelined in the past.
