- Advanced financial modeling and data analysis abilities (Excel or sheets)
- Skilled at building scalable systems for reporting, budgeting, and decision-making in fast-moving environments
- Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Excellent project management and execution discipline with attention to detail and transparency
- Crypto-native curiosity. You experiment with protocols, participate in governance, and stay ahead of market narratives
What the job involves
- We are looking for a talented and motivated Biz Ops Manager to lead business operations, finance, and ecosystem growth initiatives. This is a chance to join a small, collaborative team and have a lot of independence
- You'll be a core contributor to o1Labs Operations. You will manage and improve key operations processes and programs, including managing our token grant payments and our delegation program
- You will also manage key relationships with exchanges and custodians, and seek new opportunities to expand the reach of Mina
- The ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor, financial acumen, and deep Web3 fluency to help scale our organization sustainably and transparently
- Manage and expand exchange relationships. Serve as the primary contact for existing and new cryptocurrency exchanges (including both centralized and decentralized exchanges), driving strategic partnerships and ensuring successful listings, integrations, and ongoing collaborations
- Develop wallet and custody partnerships. Work with leading wallet providers and custodians to enhance support for MINA and related assets, improving the user experience across both retail and institutional segments
- Oversee the delegation program. Maintain our delegation program and recommend improvements to reduce operational overhead, ensure fairness and transparency, and make the program more attractive to node operators
- This includes defining eligibility criteria, onboarding program participants, monitoring performance, and publishing updates and analytics on delegation outcomes to ensure community involvement and accountability
- Drive token and treasury strategy. Analyze token flows, liquidity, emissions, and maintain the payment and tracking of token payments
- Coordinate cross-functional execution. Collaborate with teams to ensure technical readiness, compliance, and the successful rollout of exchange and wallet integrations
- Drive operational efficiency. Keep initiatives on track through hands-on project management and by building lightweight systems that reduce friction and help teams deliver
- Working with the Head of Program Strategy to Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with key projects, protocols, and infrastructure partners across DeFi, L2s, and tooling
- Support financial planning and processes. Support our Finance operations as needed (such as by updating financial models, managing budgets, and managing treasury operations across both fiat and crypto assets)
Our take
Blockchain technology is an essential part of Web 3.0 infrastructure, but it is currently limited by problems of scalability. The constantly growing size of any blockchain's ledger requires expensive node infrastructure, which poses technical problems as well as undercutting Web 3.0's promise of decentralisation.
0(1) Labs, in response to this, incubated the Mina Protocol, which is a lightweight blockchain that can scale to any size, while remaining small enough for cell phones to act as nodes. This has since grown into a thriving ecosystem of Zero-Knowledge (ZK) developers (drawn in both by the promise of the technology, and by grants provided through token sales) while 0(1) Labs continues to work on several other ZK projects.
Despite crypto and blockchain spaces experiencing some troubles of late, O(1)'s infrastructure has been shown to work, which means it can continue to drive acceptance of ZK products into the mainstream. With strong funding at its back, it can be expected that O(1) Labs will continue investing in engineering and product development as it pursues its goal of bringing Web 3.0 to the general public.
