Role
Who you are
- We are looking for an experienced, design-minded product engineer to join the Cloudflare Dashboard Experience team
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale applications, a strong foundation in system design, and the ability to translate design vision into polished, performant code
- You must care deeply about code quality, customer experience, and the craft of building beautiful, functional interfaces
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience building web applications
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Expertise with TypeScript
- Extensive knowledge of the JavaScript ecosystem
- Experience working with build pipelines, artifact management, error management
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with product and design teams
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Unit/integration testing experience
- Experience working with and/or designing RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of internationalization, localization, and/or accessibility
- Bonus: Experience with micro-frontend applications
What the job involves
- The Cloudflare Dashboard team is a critical part of Cloudflare’s Control Plane Product and has the following areas of focus:
- Build a cohesive, delightful, and self-serviceable user journey through the Cloudflare Customer Dashboard for every single user—across all plans, all personas, all roles
- Aim to provide a product that will allow Cloudflare to experience the next level of growth, where users can adopt, onboard, and expand their product and feature usage through the dashboard alone, without going through a human Cloudflare representative
- Tackle cross-cutting concerns that product teams must manage alongside their feature work and timelines. All this helps us to:
- Increase developer productivity
- Improve code quality
- Enhance application performance and security
- This hybrid role bridges the gap between product engineering and design engineering, requiring both deep technical expertise and a keen eye for design details
- You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and systems engineers to build scalable developer experiences across our dashboard
- In this role, you'll own your code from inception to release, balancing engineering excellence with visual aesthetics. On any given day, you might be architecting scalable frontend solutions, collaborating in design explorations, developing new components and interactions, polishing UI details, or improving developer productivity through better tooling and frameworks
- You can expect to interact with a variety of languages and technologies. We primarily use Typescript and React

Cloudflare is a multi-service global network that provides web security and infrastructure, DDoS mitigation services, and a content delivery network. Founded in 2009, Cloudflare has risen to become an industry giant, with over 25 million global internet properties on its network.
Cloudflare has been responsible for a number of admirable initiatives, offering free web protection to human rights groups, journalists, artists, and US election websites. This goes some way to counteracting the flak Cloudflare has received in some circles for the controversial groups and users who use its services. And impressive third-quarter 2025 results show strong momentum, with revenue rising to $562 million from $430 million a year earlier. The company also raised its full-year guidance, underscoring confidence in continued growth. As demand for secure, cloud-based infrastructure keeps growing, Cloudflare's expanding platform and improving efficiency leave it well positioned to capture further gains in a rapidly growing market.
