Who you are

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with over 5 years of expertise in Ruby or Python, a strong understanding of AI-focused development, and extensive experience working with AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines
You will play a crucial role in architecting and building scalable backend systems, handling large-scale data ingestion and ETL pipelines, and ensuring best practices in data processing, database design, and system architecture
Experience: 5+ years of experience in backend development using Ruby (Rails) or Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask)
Strong experience in AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.)
Strong experience with ETL pipelines and handling large-scale data ingestion and transformation
Experience with AWS data services such as AWS Glue, Kinesis, Redshift, Athena, and DynamoDB
Expertise in Docker and containerized application development
Proven ability to design scalable system architectures and implement best practices
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions/Workflows
Solid knowledge of integration and unit testing
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments

Desirable

Experience in the fintech sector or with customer engagement platforms
Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI API, etc.)
Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi)
Familiarity with serverless computing and Lambda-based architectures

Optimize and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring scalability, performance tuning, and indexing strategies for high-volume workloads
Handle high-throughput data processing and design solutions for real-time and batch data workflows
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and workflows to streamline deployments
Design and implement integration and unit testing to ensure system reliability
Leverage AWS services to build cloud-native applications
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following industry best practices
Collaborate with AI, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions
Drive best practices in system design, microservices architecture, and API development
