What the job involves

Hours: 8AM–5PM / 9AM–6PM
Working as part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team, this placement role will be based at our London head office
Alpha is seeking a bright and proactive university student who is looking to join a fast-paced IT Support team with a collaborative culture that is both challenging and highly rewarding
Frontline IT Support – Be the first point of contact for technical issues, providing first-line support through walk-ups, remote access, and deskside assistance
Ticket Management – Log, prioritise, and categorise issues in our support desk system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ITIL standards
Hardware & Software Setup – Prepare and configure Alpha computers, install software, and set up monitors, docking stations, and business applications
User Access Management – Manage accounts in Azure AD, Office 365, VPN, and SaaS services
New Starters & Onboarding – Ensure all IT equipment and access are ready for new employees before their start date
Office Technology Maintenance – Conduct daily checks on office equipment, including printers, video conferencing and telephone systems, and TV walls
Project Work – Assist the team in delivering key IT initiatives and infrastructure improvements
