Who you are

You're a senior engineer who enjoys shaping the 'what' as much as the 'how', collaborating deeply with Product and building with autonomy
You've owned architecture decisions and know how to scale wisely
You’ve built and shipped real products at speed, preferably from 0→1
You care deeply about clean systems, performance, and developer experience
You thrive in small teams, wear many hats, and enjoy end-to-end ownership

What the job involves

Own and evolve our core infrastructure and technical architecture
Write clean, maintainable code across the stack (Node.js, Next.js, MongoDB)
Improve performance, reliability, and observability as we scale usage and customers
Build internal tooling and deployment workflows to help us move fast without breaking things
Work closely with Product to ship customer-facing features at speed
Shape our engineering culture, standards, and eventually our internal team
You’ll initially work alongside two experienced engineers who’ve helped build the product so far, with plans to grow the in-house tech team over the next six months

Our take

Recruitment in the care sector requires countless screening calls and application sifting, all for just a few hires. Lily is an AI assistant that helps care sector HR teams speed up the hiring process.

Integrating with existing team ATSs, Lily automates the care sector reference collection process and deep-screens candidate CVs to unearth job-matching accolades that other systems might miss. Importantly, Lily reduces both the time between application and hire and the use of expensive recruitment agencies, saving time and money for overburdened care organisations.

A small company, Lily’s AI assistant is up against tough competition, but its sharp focus on an often overlooked sector will be a boon as it grows its product and team.
