Role

Who you are

  • Proficient in German and English (written and spoken). French fluency is a bonus!
  • Customer-facing/sales experience desirable (not essential)
  • An interest in sales - no experience required (some of our previous top billers have had no experience at all!)
  • Adept at resolving a wide range of customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Ability to build strong rapport quickly and confidently with customers
  • A driven self-starter, self-motivated with a great work ethic
  • Confident in handling diverse queries, able to easily adapt to any given situation
  • The ability to handle conflicts diplomatically and find resolutions that satisfy both the customer and Bark
  • Ability to multitask and appropriately prioritise, handling multiple email enquiries, calls and admin
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

What the job involves

  • We are looking for Customer Experience Agents to join our team
  • You’ll be the first point of contact for the professionals who use us and your role will be to ensure they understand how to make the most of the platform
  • We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people with a flare for customer service and sales to come and make a difference to our team
  • Be a product & customer expert, assisting new and existing professionals with any queries that they may have
  • Handle inbound calls from our valued professionals, ensuring each communication is positive, empathetic and solution-oriented
  • Onboard new professionals, getting them started and selling credits by showcasing the benefits of our platform and offering guidance to get them started successfully (all our sales are warm sales!)
  • Talk with prospective professionals, discussing the various benefits of Bark and how we can help them grow their business
  • Handle the day-to-day team inbox (we use Zendesk). Promptly responding to enquiries and resolving issues with a professional-first mindset
  • You will be required to work 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday

Our take

Bark is the UK's largest & fastest growing services marketplace, connecting consumers and businesses with the right professional for their project in thousands of unique categories. A customer can simply post a service requirement (they call this a Bark!) and their technology goes out and finds relevant professionals instantly.

Professionals who are interested in quoting for the work can post their responses to the customer. The customer can then speak to the seller, view their profile and read Bark reviews before choosing the best pro for their job.

Bark now boasts over 8 million users booking pros stretching from gardeners and cleaners to counsellors and accountants across 11 countries. The company's active expansion into new markets has been slow but sure. With this, coupled with the shift in behaviour towards acquiring professional services, Bark seems to be on a path of definite growth for years to come.
