Who you are

- Experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or a similar role
- Proficiency in Python with experience using Django or similar frameworks is a plus
- Experience in Javascript and React (or similar UI libraries/frameworks)
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with databases like Postgres and caching solutions such as Redis
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and grasp new topics quickly in a remote-first setting
- You have strong communication skills and writing skills - we’re a remote-first company that relies on this to work largely asynchronously
- You move fast and have a bias for impact
Desirable
- Experience in data science is a bonus but not required
- You’ve previously worked in a startup environment
- You’ve started a project from scratch
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to develop impactful solutions across our platform
- Your work will include building scalable backend services and APIs in Python (Django), creating user-friendly dashboards in React, and managing deployments with Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop backend services and APIs using Python and Django to support our platforms
- Build analytics and metrics reporting dashboards and tools in React
- Manage application deployment and lifecycle using Docker and Kubernetes
- Ensure database reliability and performance with Postgres and Redis
- Use Terraform for infrastructure as code practices
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions to continuously improve our systems
- Engage in varied tasks like automation, DevOps, and potentially data science projects
- Collaborate with product management and design in crafting systems that help our customers
