Role
Who you are
- BS degree in industrial engineering, operations or related field
- 5 years’ experience in distribution operations, distribution technology, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); ability to interface with customers and internal stakeholders successfully and professionally
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent data analysis and financial modeling skills
- Ability to work with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and technical drawings (AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.)
- Understand use of operational and financial metrics to drive business decisions
- Perform well in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Ability to travel periodically 25 - 50% of the time domestically
What the job involves
- The Solutions Architect will be responsible for analyzing our customers operations and processes to achieve optimal system design and performance of our solutions
- As a Solutions Architect you will interact with customers and internal team members throughout the presales process
- Provide support on technical content in exploratory customer meetings
- Analyze requirements, collaborate with sales, conduct engineering analyses and propose solutions for specific customer applications, based upon standardized Berkshire Grey products
- Collaborate with customers to analyze and manage requirements to deliver meaningful business value in the context of existing and green field operations
- Compose in-depth technical response documents and provide customer presentations to support the sales process
- Provide continuity / handoff with Program Engineers to ensure successful deployments in post-sales phase
- Assist in analysis of product market requirements, recommend ways to modify Standard Products to increase value to customer and market applicability
- Solution Application Strategy
- Identify new applications / extensions of Standard Products through customer contact, market knowledge, and analysis
- Collaborate with Product Management on solution feature prioritization and commercialization strategy
- Contribute to continual improvement of best practices, tools and techniques for more effective product usage
