Who you are

A track record for leading a product team to achieve complex business goals involving analytics and advertising technology
>5-10 years of experience as a Technical or Platform Product Manager working in a technology-heavy role in advertising technology, including defining the strategy and roadmap for the platforms you built
A deep understanding of RTB advertising protocols and standards, such as OpenRTB and Prebid.org
A nuanced technical and business understanding of open internet inventory quality measurement techniques
A strong understanding of how ad servers are configured and how various supply-side yield optimization strategies work
Experience with driving an agenda with industry standards organizations such as the IAB Tech Lab and Prebid.org
Analytical mindset and skills to dive into the data using SQL-based tools to find insights, either on your own in partnership with data science and analytics teams
A passion for protecting and growing the open Internet ecosystem
A proven track record of partnering with engineering teams to solve complex technical problems and delivering large and impactful software projects
Excellent communication skills, including the confidence to participate in very technical conversations, the ability to drive consensus and commitment, and the ability to crisply communicate delivery timelines, trade-offs, and risks to senior management
Public speaking experience at industry events
Durability and grit -- sometimes solutions take creative thinking, multiple iterations, and staging while dependencies solidify

Our take

Effective advertising in the digital age is almost impossible without the use of data to drive targeting, with first-party data commonly being used for such purposes. However, making use of such data can be difficult without the right analytic tools, and executing advertisement campaigns that make use of it can be even more challenging.

The Trade Desk provides a demand-side marketplace for building digital media campaigns, allowing businesses to plan and buy digital media, harness the power of their data, and customize publishing through APIs. The marketplace partners with over 225 data, inventory, brand safety, and publisher businesses to provide its services, whilst offering expert digital marketing advice and an e-learning platform called Edge Academy.

Whilst other advertisement marketplaces are available to businesses, The Trade Desk stands out with its approach of not only providing companies with the business partnerships they need but also advising and educating them on how to utilize them effectively. Its latest offering, Galileo, enables advertisers to onboard and activate their first-party data quickly and easily, bringing direct integrations with CRM, CDP and clean room providers, including Adobe, Amazon Web Services, Habu, InfoSum, LiveRamp, Salesforce and Snowflake.
