Who you are
- 3–8 years’ experience in Accounting, FP&A or Controlling within an international group or a Big 4 / consulting environment
- Strong ownership & autonomy: self-starter, proactive, able to build processes, models and dashboards from scratch
- Strong analytical & financial skills, with advanced Excel and solid accounting knowledge
- Good communication skills, able to interact with senior management and operational teams
- Knowledge in Business intelligence & CRM software is highly appreciated,
- Rigorous personality, organized, trustworthy and curious,
- Capacity to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever-changing environment,
- Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to optimize processes and performance
- Business-oriented mindset, able to translate data into insights and recommendations
- Fluency in English
What the job involves
- As part of the FP&A Team within the Finance Department, you will be reporting to a FP&A Manager
- You will play a key role combining local business partnering and group-level financial reporting
- On the Local side, you will act as the finance business partner for two three entities based in Paris and London, supporting the local Managing Directors with timely reporting, ad-hoc analyses and actionable insights to drive day-to-day business decisions
- You will work closely with both four operational leaders and local accounting teams to ensure data accuracy and to improve the flow between operational and financial processes
- On the Group side, you will contribute to Group FP&A by leading the reporting and budgeting for a cluster of entities (UK, France, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands)
- In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial information, coordinating local stakeholders, and continuously improving the reliability, relevance and efficiency of the Group reporting and budgeting processes
- You will be responsible for preparing and leading regular local reporting sessions with the Managing Directors, while providing ongoing day-to-day support through ad-hoc analyses to help monitor and steer business performance.
- You will develop close partnerships with the Managing Directors, becoming a trusted financial advisor in their decision-making process:
- Build and present the local reporting for your scope, in line with the Managing Directors’ needs and expectations
- Ensure reliability, compliance with accounting rules, homogeneity, and completeness within the deadlines
- Setup the right checks to ensure that the data is consistent to be reported and work with other departments to continue cleaning this data (Finance & Accounting teams especially)
- Organize (or maintain & improve) the switch from excel to BI tools for Business reviews and consolidate the data in a single environment
- Increase automation and improve the reporting process to reduce delays
- Manage the continuous improvement and evolution of the data shared in those reviews to better answer the stakeholders needs (MDs mainly) and better understand those activities
- The FP&A Department is in charge of building each month a group reporting presented to the investors after being reviewed internally
- Build the monthly reporting of your perimeter to the FP&A Manager within the deadlines,
- Ensure the correct reporting of your perimeter within the group P&L
- Setup the right checks to ensure that the data is consistent to be reported and work with other departments to continue cleaning this data (Finance teams especially)
- Understand and help building the rules of allocation towards the P&L of your Business Units or perimeter
- The FP&A Department oversees building the Budget (yearly), Reforecast and Business plan (on demand) of the group
- During budget season:
- Build budget templates, organize budget meetings with the Budget Owners, retrieve inputs
- Recurring: Anticipate budgeting/forecasting by investigating how we can derive the reporting templates into budgeting templates
- Bring the budget & forecast data into your reporting with the budget owners to ensure ownership
