Who you are
- Demonstrated history of success in a fast-paced, tech sales role with strong quota attainment across multiple quarters
- Strong track record of penetrating new markets and closing net-new business, ideally with an early-stage or newly launched product
- Genuine excitement for agentic AI and the ability to translate technical concepts — autonomous workflows, AI copilots, rules-based automation — into clear business value for non-technical buyers
- Tenacious hunger to win business and close deals, especially in a category-defining product motion
- Ability to speak credibly with stakeholders at every level, from billing managers to C-suite executives
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment — comfortable operating without a fully paved playbook
What the job involves
- We're hiring a Mid-Market Account Executive to bring this story to healthcare practices ready to modernize their back office
- You'll own the full sales cycle — prospecting, relationship-building, and closing— for practices that are the perfect size to feel PM's impact immediately: big enough to have real billing complexity, agile enough to move fast once they see the ROI
- This is a chance to sell a category-defining product at the ground floor of agentic healthcare software, working directly with practice owners and administrators who are tired of throwing headcount at denials and manual posting
- Own the full sales cycle for Practice Manager in your mid-market territory — from prospecting to close — with a bias toward relationship-based selling in the field
- Help shape early go-to-market motion for Practice Manager, feeding field insights back to product and marketing as the category takes shape
- Build and manage a pipeline of mid-market practices, consistently exceeding monthly and quarterly quotas as a founding seller on a newly launched complex product line
- Partner closely with the account team, sales engineering, and customer success to craft compelling demos and ensure smooth handoffs from close to onboarding
- Act as a category evangelist — staying ahead of the agentic AI and healthcare RCM landscape so you're a trusted advisor, not just a vendor, to prospects and customers

Today, healthcare providers are tackling the growing challenge of too much paperwork and too little time for patients. Many existing electronic health record (EHR) systems only add to the problem - digital, yes, but often too clunky, time-consuming, and disconnected from the tools doctors actually need. Athelas is tackling this by reimagining how healthcare software works, helping providers spend less time lcicking and more time caring for people.
Athelas offers a full suite of tools that combine AI-powered automation, remote patient monitoring (RPM), and integrated EHR and billing systems. And its newest platform, Athelas AIR, is a next-generation EHR designed to unify clinical and administrative workflows in one intelligent system. By embedding revenue cycle management (RCM) and ambient AI documentation directly into the platform, Athelas AIR streamlines everything from charting to billing. And the goal is simple, to reduce administrative burden, improve margins, and ultimately, give healthcare teams a smoother, smarter way to work.
The company has made significant strides in recent years. After reaching unicorn status in 2022 and merging with Commure in 2023, Athelas is now valued at around $6B and continues to expand its platform. Alongside growing adoption of Athelas AIR, the company has recently secured FDA clearance for its Athelas Home device - an AI-powered diagnostic tool that delivers lab-grade blood test results from a fingerstick in minutes. This allows care teams to test, diagnose, and make decisions in a single visit. With a growing customer base and a broader push into AI-driven diagnostics as well as software, Athelas is ready to be a leader in end-to-end, intelligent healthcare infrastructure.
