Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Life Sciences, or related field(s)
- At least 2 years experience with data analysis
- Experience using Microsoft software tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PowerBI)
- Basic knowledge of SQL a plus, but not required
- Requires analytical thinking and effective time management skills
- Ability to present results to customers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Works effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of the business
- Knowledge of the industry and an understanding of the marketplace
What the job involves
- The US Data Integrity team comprises over 50 employees across multiple geographies
- Our team enhances the value of IQVIA’s syndicated offerings by serving as a trusted partner to our clients
- We provide expertise, timely insights & solutions, enabling clients to appropriately use our data to formulate better business decisions
- Based in our IQVIA office in New Providence, NJ, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing & responding to queries raised by clients who purchase one or more of IQVIA’s syndicated prescription and/or sales data offerings (e.g. NPA, Xponent, DDD, NSP, WSP etc.)
- The candidate will also be responsible for completing & presenting complex data analysis/validation to internal key decision makers & external clients, leveraging their experience to provide custom data solutions
- Receives and responds to client data inquiries via remote client access
- Under guidance, identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets
- Completes quantitative analysis and research to gain more in-depth understanding of trends
- Runs standard queries for data extraction
- Utilizes various systems/tools to work through issue identification and follow the standard escalation process through resolution
- Provides formal and written communications both internally and externally regarding issue status and resolution
- Verifies data for accuracy and completeness
- May manipulate and transform data to optimize analyses
- Performs audits of own work or that of others to ensure conformance with established procedures or to resolve routine issues
- May construct additional reports or tools to assist in analysis

IQVIA is a world leader in analytics and clinical research in the life sciences sector. Formed from a merger between IMS Health and Quintiles, it has over 40 years of experience in the sector and has grown to become one of the world’s largest contract research organisations, with a network spanning more than 100 countries.
Since its founding, IQVIA has outperformed the market, with is main concerns being in the expansion of biosimilar firms such as Humira which are able to provide generic drugs from existing medications, without needing further data analysis. However IQVIA’s involvement in new areas of research are likely to more than offset this trend.
With global medicine spend on track to reach £1.3 trillion by 2025, IQVIA is focusing its efforts on oncology and immunology, the most profitable sectors in pharmaceutical development. It is also building out its technological infrastructure, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. While it is frank about the limitations of this technology within the sector, it is able to greatly augment the data-handling capabilities of health science teams. Development in this sector is key to IQVIA’s growth plans for 2025 and beyond, which is on track with 2023-24 seeing a massive increase in company share value.
