- Deep expertise in distributed systems, multi-tenant SaaS, and API-first platforms

What the job involves
- As a Senior Developer at Opus 2, you’ll lead delivery of medium-to-large features and projects within your squad while influencing the broader engineering strategy
- You’ll serve as a trusted technical partner to Product and Design, balancing user needs, delivery speed, and technical quality
- You’ll set high standards of engineering craft, mentor across squads, and help embed practices like CI/CD, automated testing, and operational ownership
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of medium-to-large features and projects
- Partner with Product and Design to align roadmaps with technical feasibility and user needs
- Contribute to squad strategy, influencing decisions on architecture, scalability, and reliability
- Provide deep technical mentorship to engineers across squads, raising standards of engineering quality
- Support operational excellence through strong observability, monitoring, and testing practices
- Actively contribute to wider engineering strategy with Tech Leads and senior leadership

- Mentor others in responsible AI use and help set squad-level standards for AI adoption
- Partner with Product/Design to explore and prototype AI-powered features that enhance user experience

Documentation, clients and teams are all multifarious in legal proceedings, and therefore provide unique logistical problems. Opus 2 aims to meet the needs of the modern courtroom by providing digital solutions in an age of remote hearings.
The company provides e-bundles that seek to solve these problems. Whilst courtrooms may use existing video software to conduct hearings, Opus 2 integrates this software with other elements (such as data storage and documentation) in order to streamline the process and ultimately save time for everyone. The company offers virtual workspaces on a secure cloud platform, streamlining legal work for both lawyers and clients.
