What the job involves
- This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the emerging Digital Pathology field
- As a Marketing Associate at Deciphex, you'll merge creativity with analytics, enhancing our market presence through effective communication strategies, CRM optimization, lead generation, and proactive public relations efforts, driving forward our mission in the digital pathology sector
- Assist in developing, localizing, and executing integrated marketing campaigns tailored to the U.S. market, leveraging digital, social, email, print, and event-based channels
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all marketing materials and platforms
- Collaborate with global and clinical marketing teams to produce and adapt marketing collateral, including brochures, case studies, press releases, newsletters, and presentations, ensuring they resonate with U.S. audiences
- Manage and update U.S. social media profiles, website content, and blog posts to maintain a fresh, engaging presence that supports overall brand strategy
- Support the collection, organization, and analysis of market and competitor data to inform marketing strategies, identify growth opportunities, and refine messaging
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and audience feedback to provide insights that help guide the development of targeted marketing materials and campaigns
- Assist in planning and coordinating participation in U.S. trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events, including event logistics, booth preparation, and onsite marketing activities
- Support the creation and distribution of pre- and post-event marketing materials to maximize event ROI and lead generation efforts
- Work closely with the clinical marketing, research marketing and product teams
- Partner with the sales team to provide them with relevant marketing collateral, assist in lead nurturing campaigns, and track marketing-driven leads through the sales pipeline
- Assist in maintaining marketing metrics and KPIs, using analytics to measure the impact of campaigns and activities
- Provide regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement, ensuring that marketing efforts align with business objectives and deliver measurable results
Our take
Pathologists are the core of diagnostics, but face increasing pressure as diagnostic complexity increases and the number of pathologists is in decline. This systemic strain means turnaround times for diagnoses are longer, and the chance of diagnostic error is higher. Deciphex is looking to address this with a regulated non-clinical pathology platform.
Deciphex has institutional and headline support, has collaborated with AstraZeneca and Janssen, and participates in a research program with pharmaceutical company Charles River. Reports suggest the platform has seen impressive uptake in the preclinical sector, so in spite of being relatively young this specialist niche is in high demand.
This all means Deciphex is in a strong position to keep expanding out its suite of tools and platforms. Its latest round of funding will support expansion across the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Japan. The company is also looking to enhance its capabilities, strengthen existing partnerships and broaden the type of customer it serves.
