Who you are
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing a small team of IT support professionals. Inspire and motivate, and through constructive feedback, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Customer-Centric Focus: A commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences and building positive relationships with internal stakeholders. Maintain a proactive, results-driven mindset
- Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of core IT infrastructure, including:
- Operating Systems: Windows and macOS environments
- Productivity Suites: Google Workspace (G Suite) Slack, Jira Service Management, and Microsoft O365 administration
- Hardware: Desktop, laptop, and mobile device support
- Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPNs
- SaaS Applications: Experience with managing and supporting various cloud-based applications
- Access Policies: Identity Access Management (IAM), Okta SSO/SCIM
- Asset Management: familiarity with Antivirus, inventory management, patching, and backup procedures for Mac and Windows
- Builder Mentality: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to identifying, prioritizing, and resolving complex IT issues. Ability to troubleshoot effectively and guide your team through challenging scenarios
- Process Improvement Champion: A strong desire to identify and implement improvements to IT processes, workflows, and tools, enhancing efficiency and the overall employee experience
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues, build rapport, and communicate with empathy. Ability to clearly communicate expectations and accountability
- Resourcefulness & Organization: You're a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, optimize resources, and maintain detailed documentation. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to changing needs
- Vendor Management: Experience in collaborating with and managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers
- Curiosity: Continually challenging the status quo, and able to explore what should be changed to best meet rapidly-evolving business needs. Desire to regularly evaluate new technology concepts and innovations
- Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in IT support roles, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience

- The First 30 Days:
- Complete your initial onboarding, meet your team members, and get acquainted with our company culture and key stakeholders across different departments
- Begin to familiarize yourself with our current support processes, key systems, and existing documentation
- Understand IAM, and Okta configurations, assess existing patching and security protocols in place
- Shadow team members on routine tasks and participate in troubleshooting sessions to understand common issues and resolutions
- The First 60 Days:
- Optimize IT Support Processes for Efficiency & User Experience
- Build Support operations reports/dashboards to track team resources and KPIs over time
- Enhance Team Performance & Collaboration
- Strengthen Cross-Departmental Partnerships & Vendor Relationships
- 90 Days & Beyond:
- Develop an IT Support roadmap of prioritized projects to drive automation, improve the employee experience, and scale IT Support for impending growth
- Implement a roadmap of projects to improve Support operations and optimize for efficiency
- Have an established method and cadence for tracking, monitoring and reporting KPIs that demonstrate a path of improvement over time

Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day
- The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners
- The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more
Our take
Public vehicle surveillance provides valuable insights to emergency services for the prevention of crime, but bringing information together to create leads is difficult. There's no standardised system for inter-city vehicle surveillance, and this makes it difficult for communities and law enforcement services to work together.
Flock Safety provides surveillance equipment that aims to improve the abilities of law enforcement and homeowner associations to communicate data with each other. The company focuses on vehicle surveillance, innovating on existing technology by using machine learning to categorise vehicles by color, license plate, state, and other data points.
Whilst automated surveillance equipment is used daily within federal police forces, Flock Safety builds technology systems that provide a means for smaller law enforcement agencies to quantify and share surveillance data easily. This data can then be automatically processed to help develop leads, a time-consuming process that would usually have to be completed manually.
