Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or help desk roles (internships or school experience welcome!)
- Familiarity with MacOS and common business software (Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and remotely
- Curious and eager to learn new tools and systems
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work during core business hours in the US
Desirable
- Experience using an MDM system (like Jamf, Mosyle, or similar)
- Basic scripting or automation experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Exposure to cloud environments like AWS or VPN configurations
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented IT Support Associate to join our remote team on a full-time basis
- This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career to get hands-on experience supporting a growing, fully remote company
- You’ll work closely with our IT Lead to help provide day-to-day support for the team, assist with onboarding/offboarding, and help keep our systems running smoothly
- SmarterDx builds clinical AI that empowers hospitals to analyze the complete record of every patient to fully capture the value of care delivered
- Founded by physicians in 2020, its proprietary AI platform understands the nuances of clinical reasoning, enabling hospitals to true the patient record for every discharge
- By doing so, hospitals can recover millions in earned revenue, enhance care quality metrics, and optimize healthcare operations
- Become a Smartian and help optimize the way the healthcare system works for everyone
- Be the first line of support for internal IT requests and issues via Slack and email (hardware, software, and connectivity issues)
- Help set up and ship employee workstations (MacOS-focused)
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes (accounts, device setup, access, documentation)
- Help maintain internal IT documentation and guide
- Support application access management and basic troubleshooting
- Assist with tracking hardware inventory and licensing
- Support occasional project-based tasks (e.g. , research tools, test configurations)
- Work closely with the IT Lead on tasks related to automation, security, and infrastructure
