Who you are
- Do you bring a proven track record as a commercially focused product manager?
- Do you have direct knowledge working with Genomic applications including WGS or WES?
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in diagnostics or healthcare
- Experience with Whole Exome sequencing and Rare Disease applications is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- BSc, MSc, or equivalent in a relevant scientific or technical field

What the job involves
- Join the SOPHiA GENETICS Application Product Management Team as a Senior Manager / Associate Director for our Rare & Inherited Disease portfolio of small & large panel / whole exome applications, and enable us to make a positive impact on the outcomes for cancer and rare disease patients worldwide
- Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Application Product Management, you will help lead the strategic direction and execution for Whole Exome and Rare Disease product lines
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product success in a competitive market
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch for Whole Exome and Rare Disease applications
- Develop and execute product strategies that align with company goals and market needs
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback
- Drive product positioning, messaging, and competitive analysis
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and R&D for successful product development and commercialization
- As a public organisation facing ongoing commercial growth, you will bring a success-orientated and solutions-focused mindset that embraces team collaborations, change, growth and inclusion

Our take
Though health and genetic data are increasingly available in large quantities to healthcare providers, it can be very difficult to gain insights from it. Data processing is a significant bottleneck, and important information which could be vital to a patient's health can easily be overlooked or misinterpreted. SOPHiA GENETICS has developed a SaaS platform which seeks to change this, by processing raw data received from partner institutions and then returning a standardised report which can be actioned by the end user. The platform then learns from this process, becoming more capable the more data it receives.
The global healthcare AI market is thriving, with numerous large competitors in the sector such as Welltok, iCarbonX and IBM (Watson Health). However, SOPHiA's USP is its support of democratizing health data, which means that it has continually worked closely with a variety of healthcare providers each using different instruments, and providing non-standardized data. While this was initially a hurdle, once overcome it has become a strength, allowing the platform to engage with the equipment a healthcare provider has rather than requiring a particular inventory.
SOPHiA went public in 2021 and since then has pursued collaborations with institutions and companies that focus on cancer screening and diagnostics. Most recently the company launched advanced MRD tracking capabilities, further innovating in the oncology space. With these cutting-edge tools. SOPHiA strengthens its leadership in data-driven medicine, paving the way for more personalized healthcare.
