Who you are
- For this role we are primarily looking for someone with a passion for Advertising, who is looking to learn everything there is to know about Ad Operations
- Previous experience in a similar role, online media and/or advertising would be ideal, but we would also consider fresh graduates with an interest in digital advertising, the NYT and our mission
- We are looking for a self-motivated team player with great communication skills, who is able to work closely with internal teams and clients
- Our Junior Campaign Manager also needs to enjoy technology, from having to prepare a slide deck using MS office/Google Slides, to learning new systems (Google Ad Manager, Double Verify, Adpoint, LiveIntent, Adswizz)
- Experience using Firebug, Charles, and other troubleshooting plug-ins, as well as knowledge of HTML and Javascript is a plus, but not essential
What the job involves
- Based in London, this role is an exciting entry-level opportunity for candidates interested in pursuing careers in digital advertising
- You will support our International Sales Planning and Sales teams based in London, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore
- Our team is responsible for the execution of all digital ad sales post-sale processes with ongoing strategic consultation and support; we strive to ensure campaign management and performance are consistently met, while maintaining client satisfaction and positive experiences with our partners
- Reporting to the Advertising Operations Manager, you will coordinate the creative, trafficking, reporting, and billing needs for our clients. In this role you will need to use your organisational skills to manage a wide variety of issues
- In this role you will work daily with our internal teams (Sales, Sales Planning, Yield, Finance, Ad Product and Ad Platforms) as well as external client/agency teams
- You will work on high volumes of digital campaigns, so the ability to remain organized and highly responsive to internal and external client leads is essential

- You will act as a post-sale contact for both NYT Sales and advertising clients
- You will also traffic campaigns and ensure on-time launch across Display, Mobile, In-App, Newsletter and Audio environments
- You will be in charge of receiving and testing advertising materials (3rd party tags, JPG/GIF, click trackers etc) to ensure that assets comply with company specs and display correctly in the appropriate environments. You will ensure any requests for changes are communicated promptly to the advertiser
- You will monitor delivery and analyse the performance of multiple advertising campaigns, and liaise with planning/sales on placement optimisation recommendations and troubleshoot with 3rd party vendors/agencies
- You will become a specialist on our ad technology and reporting platforms, and will support the set-up, optimization and campaign performance
- You will execute post-campaign analysis by compiling final reports and insights, viewability and slide decks
- Finally, you will work with NY-based teams on strategic best practices and how to prevent technical issues on specific campaigns
- In this role you’ll need to be able to manage competing priorities, with good project management, attention to detail and customer service skills

The New York Times is one of the most prominent and well-respected sources of journalism in the United States. Founded in 1851 as the New York Daily Times, the New York Times first coalesced into a singular newspaper in the 1860s as a Sunday edition reporting on developments in the American Civil War. Over the years, the liberal-leaning newspaper has been at the centre of exposing politicians, directors, and many other American scandals.
