Role
Who you are
- Please note, this is not a summer internship and is not be suitable for students who are completing or have already completed their final year of study this year (2024)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical / engineering field, with a significant software coding component.
- A passion for software development
- Curious mindset, always able to ask questions
- Proficient in TypeScript and NodeJS
- An understanding of SQL
- Some experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes, cloud providers such as AWS, GCP or Azure
- Currently in your penultimate year of study
- Please only apply if you're able to commit to a year in industry (from May 2024/June 2024 until July 2025) and you are currently studying a sandwich degree, where you plan to return to study your final year (2025/26) after completion of your year in industry.
Desirable
- Studying a sandwich course with a placement year in industry
- Understanding of NoSQL database technologies
- Understanding of the agile manifesto and practices
- Understanding of microservices and cloud infrastructure

- Development of new product suite: Frontend, backend, It’ll be a blank canvas for you to make a big impact!
- There’s an opportunity to become a well rounded engineer and gain insights on how complex systems are designed and built over time and changing requirements
- Full-stack web
- Development cycle: bi-weekly scrum
- It’ll be a ‘learn on the job’ kind of role with an ‘Own the ticket’ culture: solve a task with your own approach or ask for help if you get stuck. Improve with code reviews

Serac Technologies presents a platform to automate both initial outreach letters and follow-ups, as well as a search engine for businesses to find planning applications that match their criteria so they can better and more quickly target marketing from the start.
Since its founding in 2019, Serac Technologies has grown to serve many clients across different trades, from Selco Builders Warehouse to Howdens Joinery and Swan Windows.
