Role
Who you are
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to distill technical concepts
- 3+ years of experience as a sales engineer/solution consultant/solution engineer/solution architect selling complex technical software to teams including developers as key stakeholders
- Proficiency with modern development methodologies, languages and frameworks (APIs, JavaScript, React, JSON)
- Desire to learn and continuously grow
- Previous experience working in a startup and/or fast-paced organization
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience selling CMS or having deep knowledge of front-end development is a great plus
- Able to travel up to 25%
What the job involves
- Builder.io is looking to add an accomplished Sales Engineer to our team, to help customers solve complex problems and understand the value of our visual development platform
- You will partner with account executives to engage with customer developers and business leaders in a consultative sales process, to understand their needs, provide demonstrations that show the value customers will derive, run proof of value processes, and ultimately, close business
- Present the Builder platform to digital leaders, developers and designers
- Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Builder throughout the sales cycle
- Lead proof of value processes with prospects, working as a trusted advisor to help establish goals, success criteria and ensuring that prospects have what they need to be able to achieve them
- Act as the internal voice of the customer and work with product and marketing teams to continuously improve Builder’s products and messaging
- As an early stage hire, bring creativity and a spirit of experimentation to all that you do. We have a working playbook, and we want you to partner with us to iterate and make it even better

The company is on a mission to make customers' lives easier by doing all of the coding work for them and providing an intuitive platform to design and publish content.
The key message from Builder.io is that anyone can be involved in the creation process and those not equipped with all the skills, shouldn’t have to miss out because of the complexities that go on behind the scenes. The company is home to a team of “Builders” who support the ongoing development of the Builder.io Platform, one that has drag and drop functionality and is easily integrated with customers softwares like Shopify.
Having received $20 million in funding in 2024 bringing their total to over $40 million, the company has created a really well-established platform and has managed to acquire a strong client base. It’ll be interesting to see how the company scales with new features and ventures that are yet to be disclosed.
