Who you are

6+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Investment Banking/Private Equity/Venture Capital, or operating experience at high growth or early stage companies
Bachelor's Degree, in Business, Operations, Finance, Economics, Management, STEM or other quantitative fields
Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau & Looker). Competency with excel (can create advanced macros)/data skills
Ability to compose and speak concisely, simplifying and communicating complex ideas for several audiences, from the executive to the operator
Passion for asking why and digging deeper into difficult problems
Willingness to break down organizational barriers
Balance between details and swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
Analytical rigor - We use data to inform our decisions; you'll quickly identify what data you need to solve a problem and how to analyze it to get to the answer
Experience dealing with complex data sets, deriving insights and checking against what you see in the real-world

What the job involves

This role will report directly to the Director of Local Growth and Business Performance
You will help build a thoughtful and unique operation, mixing elements from market strategy, supply chain, marketplace efficiency, quality, local product assortment, and delivery
Collaborate with executives and senior leadership to lead planning and strategy decisions to grow our California market
Determine KPIs to best improve operational performance, customer experience, and business cohesiveness
Summarize data from multiple sources
Work cross functionally with our tech, product, and data partners to establish clear requirements and track program effectiveness
Help and lead weekly business reviews for senior operations leadership to solve setbacks and roadblocks
Build data visualization tools, reports, and dashboards to easily signal performance and flag operational opportunities
Perform competitive analysis and assessment of competitors' SWOT landscapes
This role will have a hybrid work schedule, where you will be able to showcase your creativity and build strong relationships with teams in a cross functional manner three days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco, CA hub!

Our take

Gopuff was an early player in the last-mile delivery space, offering consumers access to a wide range of consumer goods (including food and alcohol) with delivery in ~30 minutes through its network of micro fulfillment centers, from which a fleet of drivers pick up and drop off orders.

Gopuff currently operates in over 1,000 cities and is adding more. The company has also made several strategic acquisitions to charge its growth – including UKs Fancy and Dija, and US BevMo!. However, the company faces increased competition on all sides, from Getir (who recently acquired Gorillas), Glovo, and Zapp, as well as high operating costs.

To combat its competition, the company has added a range of new capabilities to its platform, launching features to eliminate former pain points by including advance order scheduling, gifting, and in-store pickup.
