Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role
- SQL as a second language
- Analytical thinking: you understand business needs and priorities, break them down from first principles, and translate them into data questions and durable solutions
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and ELT/ETL concepts; you’ve at least once downloaded “The Data Warehouse Toolkit” with the intention of reading it someday
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with AI developer tools: you have an “AI-first” mentality and know when to use which AI tools for which task, and the trade-offs
- Experience with any part of our tech stack (Airbyte, dbt Core, Snowflake, Metabase) is a plus
What the job involves
- At Leapsome, we believe the data team’s mission is knowledge-building rather than simple reporting. As a Senior Analytics Engineer reporting to the Head of Data, you’ll empower business decisions by building robust data infrastructure and delivering key insights
- We are a small, full-stack data team that manages and self-hosts its infrastructure on AWS, with Airbyte for ingestion, dbt Core for transformation, Snowflake as our data warehouse, and Metabase for reporting

- Participate in the full lifecycle of analytics projects, from business understanding and data collection to user-facing outputs and stakeholder feedback
- Develop our data platform: design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines with dbt and Python
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand and address data needs
- Ensure accurate and timely data delivery to support the company’s analytics and business intelligence needs
- Conduct thorough data analysis and create reports and dashboards using Metabase
- Monitor and ensure the health of our data infrastructure
- Implement data governance and security procedures
