Who you are

3+ years of industry experience with Javascript, TypeScript, React, Webpack, UI design, HTML & CSS, web fundamentals, APIs, REST, frontend unit & integration testing
3+ years of industry experience with server-side frameworks (e.g. Python, Go, Node.js, Java)
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a technical field such as Physics or Mathematics
Passion for software engineering design especially around user experience and frontend architecture
Enthusiasm for building user-facing products, shipping features quickly, and incorporating user feedback
Strong technical communication and teamwork skills
Ability to set technical and cultural standards for engineers

The Automate Team builds products that enable our customers to automate complex workflows for converting highly unstructured data (e.g. documents) into validated structured insights. Users can develop these workflows in Build, publish them as Apps, connect them to external production systems with Deployments, and monitor and improve the output in Review
Designing and building for the full project lifecycle across frontend and backend
Working with product managers and designers to understand user pain points and create the best product experience
Developing a seamless user experience across the Automate product lifecycle by being customer obsessed and having a deep understanding of the end-to-end user journey
Interfacing with other engineering teams to ensure the features you own are integrated with downstream and upstream systems
Troubleshooting production issues and contributing to improving stability through testing and other initiatives
Improving the company through mentorship, interviewing, and new initiatives
As a team, we move fast and are empowered to make product and design decisions. You will start contributing to our codebase week 1 and as an early team member, will help shape the backend and direction of our product

Our take

Instabase is a platform for businesses to build customisable apps for automating different parts of their business.

For example, a bank can quickly build an app that can automatically verify customer income in a fraction of a second by combing through documents such as camera pictures or scans of payslips, tax documents, bank statements, and other similar documents submitted by the customer.

The platform comes equipped with the tools for reading documents, data extraction and classification, natural language processing, and optical character recognition. It's designed to enable creators, developers, and organizations to quickly build complex business applications based on their needs.

Instabase also offers an app store, a growing marketplace of pre-packaged business apps for different industries, such as Income Verification, Adverse Media Analysis, Identity Verification, Trade Finance, Contract Analysis, and Financial Spreading.
